Sidney based photographer Keith Loutit has been making some really different and visually inspiring videos using time lapse photography and tilt-shift lenses.
The tilt-shift effect has been gaining broader use over the last 5 years or so, Vincent Laforet being one it’s most notable practitioners. This is the first time I’ve seen it applied to video in such a unique way though. It makes me think about all the different techniques available to us and how combining them in new and interesting ways can yield some pretty innovative results. I’m certain you’ll see this technique surface somewhere in the commercial world in the next 18 months.
